Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine which economic sectors are growing faster in West Lombok Regency GDP compared with the same sector inthe GDP of West Nusa Tenggara Province in 2005-2009. This type of research is descriptive,done directly on the data collection BPS Office of the province. Techniques of data collection is the documentation and study of literature. The results using the Shift Share analysis showed that all ninesectors of the economy in West Lombok Regency GRDP have faster growth than the growth in the samesector in the GDP of West Nusa Tenggara Province. Of the nine sectors of the economy there are four sectors that have faster growth is; sector trade, hotels and restaurants, the building sector, agricultural sector and services sector. Recommended if you want to continue to enhance the growth of economic sectors in the Lombok District of West economy, it should economic development is a sector that has a faster growth rate and in addition it should also pay attention to linkages between sectors of the economy resulting in improved distribution of income and employment opportunities in the area this.
