Abstract

Geomagnetic signal processing performed by researchers often require an extended time in the data processing. In responding the matter, we need a digital documentation in a form of software or application interface, which can help researchers to see the results quickly. LOK-Viewer has been designed for such usage. In this research, we enhance the design and implement an application interface for geomagnetic signal processing in association with earthquake precursors in Lombok Island during 2013 using differentiation method. Graphical view that represent geomagnetic signal from three different observatories is the main part of interface output. This graph will be very important for user, since it is strongly related to earthquake precursor data, which enable us to observe geomagnetic anomalies quickly. The overall data processing takes place less than two minutes with 915 total numbers of data sets. It can be identified form the graphs that anomalies appear on 4 until 30 days prior to the earthquake with amplitudes ranging from 3.243 to 5.99. Careful evaluation of the quality of raw data have to be taken into account, if a more reliable precursors are aimed.
