Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketahanan beberapa varietas lokal bawang putih asal Lombok terhadap penyakit becak ungu (Alternaria porri Ell. Cif.). Percobaan dirancang menurut Rancangan Acak Kelompok, yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Perlakuan tersebut adalah Varietas Sangge, Varietas Siem, Varietas Sembalun dan Varietas Santong. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa Varietas Sangge dan Varietas Siem tergolong Agak Peka, Varietas Sembalun dan Varietas Santong tergolong Peka. Produksi brangkasan basah per tanaman dan per petak tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan Varietas Sangge dan Varietas Siem dan berbeda nyata dengan Varietas Sembalun dan varietas Santong. ABSTRACT The aim of the research were to determine the resistance of some local varieties of garlic in Lombok to purple blotch disease (Alternaria porri Ell. Cif). Experiment was designed according to Randomized Block Design consisted of four treatment and each treatment was replicated three  times. The experiment used Sangga, Siem, Sembalun and Santong Varieties as treatment. Rresult of the experiment indicated that Sangge  and Siem Varieties were classified as Moderately Susceptible to purple blotch disease, while Sembalun and Santong varieties were classified as Susceptible. The highest  yield of fresh garlic per hole and per plot were obtained by Sangge and Siem Varieties, which were significantly higher than those of  Sembalun and  Santong Varieties.
