Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of the scientific approach undertaken by teachers in the Lesson Plan(RPP) and the Learning Process in junior high school science subjects in West Lombok Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were teachers in Public and Private schools who had implemented the 2013 Curriculum. The research sample was obtained through the Stratified Random Sampling technique by taking 15% of the total population of 162, so the total sample was 16 public school teachers and 8 private school teachers. Data collected by means of documentation, observation, and interviews. Data were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the Scientific Approach in the RPP was already included in the category of Very Good. In the learning process carried out by the teacher using the Scientific Approach has a Good Enough category in the Questioning and Associating step. There were only 25% of the teachers who applied the complete and sequential 5M activities, while 37.5% of the teachers who implemented the complete but non-sequential teachers were 37.5%, while the 37.5% teachers did not apply the complete 5M activities.
