Abstract
Indoor positioning system issue is an open problem that still needs some improvements. Several technologies have been proposed and implemented to improve positioning and navigation indoors. One of them uses signal WIFI. This research explores the utilization of LVQ in determining object position. The research was conducted in some steps: literature study, programming to measure the RSSI of WIFI, RSSI measurements at each point specified, LVQ implementation, evaluation, and analysis. The training process has been conducted many iterations to find the best parameters that produce the best accuracy rate. The experiment results show that the position can be found accurately.
