Abstract
This is a research about kinship terms in Bima. It particularly focuses on the form, function, and meaning. More specifically, this research describes the form and function of T-V in kinship terms in Bima. The data for this qualitative research was obtained through questionnaire and observation. The questionnaire was used to obtain the form of address. Observation was used to obtain the function and meaning. This research shows that the form of T-V has morphological characteristics in kinship terms. The form of T-V is reflected by morpheme-combination of morphemes in kinship terms. T-V reflects age and status in status kinship terms. T functions to shows that the speaker is not older in age and not higher in social status. V shows the opposite. In terms of meaning, V is more dominant in personal pronouns and kinship terms, while T is more dominant in personal names.
