Abstract
This article aims to explain how the Sade indigenous communities in Lombok carried out socio-cultural transformation (especially during the Covid-19 pandemic) to be able to balance the demands of tourism and maintain the cultural existence of the local community. To achieve this goal, the theory of transformation is used, which is to see the process of change that occurs and takes place dialectically in a community that results in a change to achieve certain goals and objectives. The method used in data collection is the interview method (with key informants and supporting informants) and participant observation. The results of the analysis show that the socio-cultural transformation of the Sade-Lombok indigenous community during the Covid-19 pandemic has spawned creativity in the form of accommodation and modification. This is done because of demands from the government and tourism demands or structural pressures and economic needs. This means that the socio-cultural transformation of the indigenous people of Sade during the Covid-19 pandemic was born through the dialectic of an atmosphere of anxiety and calm and between caring for traditions and creating reforms.
