Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the effect of open-ended learning approach to mathematical learnimg result of 5th graders of elementary school, cluster 2 Labuapi, academic year 2019/2020. The type of the rescarch used is pre-esperimental designs in the form of one-group  pretest-posttest. The subjects are 28 students of grade 5 at SDN 2 Bagik Polak in cluster 2 Labuapi. The methods of data collection are observation and test. The data obtained ara analysed by the t-test with a 5% significance level assisted by SPSS 16.0 for windows. But first the normalization test is carried out by using the kolmogorov smirnov one sample test obtained by the sig-value (2.tailed) pretest, which is 0,218 > 0,05 and the sig-value (2.tailed) posttest, which is 0,418 > 0,05 so the data is normally distributed. Bused on the statistical results of the T-test, the value of tcount is 6,383 and the ttable is 2,004. so the results of tcount > ttable are 6,383 > 2,004. Then from the hypothetical test results show that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted which means that there is an influence of open-ended learning approach to mathematical learning result of 5th graders of elementary school, cluster 2 Labuapi, academic year 2019/2020. Besides that, it can also be known with the sig. (2.tailed) which is equal to .000 which means .000 < 0,05 Therefore the data has a significant difference.
