Abstract
<strong>Abstract</strong> Islam as an ideolagi of Sasak society has dominant acculturation effects on Sasak culture, one of them is on <em>se</em><em>s</em><em>enggak</em>. Language as a feature and ethnic identity that contained in <em>Sesenggak</em> as one of Sasak's oral literature reflects the local and ethnic identity of Sasak that upholds the religiosity and moral values. The whole system of values is internalized into <em>tindih</em> attitude. <em>Tindih</em> is a Sasak term that has a deep philosophical meaning as the essence of the Sasak cultural values system, including the value of honesty in term of mental and behavior, introspection, elegance and courtesy, wisdom, obedience, calmness in attitude, and persistence to hold principle. <em>Tindih</em> is the embodiment of local Islam as a form of local identity of ideal Sasak human. <strong>Key Words</strong>: Local Islam, Local Genius, Local Identity, <em>Sesenggak</em>.
