Abstract
Abstract Araceae is one of the plant family contains many species which are consumed by local community, especially in tropical developing countries. This study aims to determine the ethnobotany and conservation of Araceae of Sasak Community in Ende, Sengkol Village, Central Lombok. The research was conducted using interview and observation methods. Based on the research, there are two species of Araceae, namely: tojang ( Colocasia esculenta ) and lomak ( Xanthosoma sagittifolium ) which were consumed as food. The Sasak community in Ende, Sengkol Village, Central Lombok preserves tojang and lomak by planting them in their homegarden.
