Abstract

This study aims to describe the values in the traditional game of begasingan.The research method used a qualitative.The data was collected through observation techniques and interviews or in-depth interviews.The results showed the importance of preserving the traditional game of begasingan because this game is not just a leisure activity but also contains a variety of values to build characters in children.The game contains eight values for character building: responsibility, discipline, sportsmanship, hard work, respect for achievement, discussion, tolerance and caring.
