Abstract
The study was intended to determine the change in the qualitative traits of Arab chickens reared as egg producers. The research was conducted by direct observation on Arab chicken farms in Beber village, Mantang sub-district, Central Lombok. Determination of the sample of breeders was carried out by purposive random method with the criteria of maintaining Arab chickens in the laying phase in the litter cage. The observed variables were coat color, beak color, skin color, and shank color and comb shape. The results of the study showed that the observed Arab chickens had 2 feather colors, namely silver and gold. It was found that there was an increase in the color of the white beak, which was originally only black, to black and white. It was also found in this study that a pea comb shape, from the beginning, was only a single shape.
