Abstract
The research which aims to determine the dry matter digestibility (DMD) and organic matter (OMD) of rice bran from static and mobile milling in Bima Regency had been carried out from September to October 2020. The rice bran used in this study was obtained from 2 types of different mills from the 18 sub-districts in Bima Regency. Samples were taken as much as 1 kg from each milling unit per sub-district and then analyzed for dry matter and organic matter digestibility at the Laboratory of Nutrition and Animal Feed, Faculty of Animal Science, University of Mataram. The variables observed in this study included physical properties, DMD and OMD of rice bran. To determine whether there is a difference between DMD and OMD from the two types of mills, the data obtained from this study were tested by T-test using SAS statistical program package. The results show that the texture, DMD and OMD of rice bran from static milling were better than that of mobile milling.
