Abstract

Pringgabaya Village is one of the villages in East Lombok where the population has an income that is still below average. Because fishermen's octopus catches are sometimes uncertain, the fishermen's income is also uncertain. The demand for octopus is increasing, causing fishermen to start catching octopus. It is feared that over-exploitation will occur because too many are being caught without any recovery efforts. Therefore, it is necessary to educate the public about the importance of sustainable octopus management. The concept of this community service activity is "saving" in nature. Service activities carried out include: counseling community groups, providing technological assistance, mentoring and evaluation. Based on the results of the activity evaluation, it can be concluded that this activity has benefited fishermen from the use of natural savings system technology. Increased Welfare: If the octopus population in the wild increases, not being fished or caught for a certain period of time, this will increase fishermen's income. Increased economic prosperity can be a strong motivation for them to engage seriously in these activities. Community Empowerment: This program not only provides octopus as a source of nutrition, but also empowers communities by providing them with new knowledge and skills in sustainable octopus cultivation
