Abstract
The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the culture of the Sade community in developing civic skills; (2) to identify behaviors displayed by the Sade community that reflect civic skills; (3) to know the development of civic skills that contain local wisdom values of the Sade community. This research uses qualitative methods with ethnographic research type. The results revealed that the culture of the Sade community is characterized by civic skills such as trust, cooperation, responsibility, solidarity, public participation, effective communication, togetherness, and mutual cooperation. The behaviors that reflect these skills include Gerasaq, Reme, Lome, Metajen, Betulung, Besiru, Betangko, and Belangar, which carry values like mutual cooperation, equality, care, responsibility, independence, and education. Additionally, civic skills are developed through internalization in family education, socialization through learning about cultural meanings, and enculturation through continuous learning. Overall, this research highlights the civic skills present within the Sade community and the importance of local wisdom in fostering these skills.
