IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM SABTU BUDAYA SEBAGAI PENGUATAN CIVIC CULTURE

Abstract

The Saturday Cultural Program is a co-curricular activity implemented as a form of culture-based learning in schools. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Saturday Cultural program as strengthening civic culture, the supporting and challenging factors, and the impacts they cause. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data collection techniques use observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Based on data analysis, the results obtained include (1) the form of implementation of the Saturday Cultural program as a strengthening of Civic Culture at SMP Negeri 1 Masbagik in the form of Gemar Gatra Gymnastics Activities, Theater or Drama Activities, Creative Dance Activities, and Class and Environmental Cleanliness Activities; (2) Supporting factors, including teacher competence as implementers of the Saturday Cultural program, support and cooperation of teachers and staff, availability of implementation locations, and availability of Saturday Cultural program facilities. Challenging factors, including the Saturday Cultural program guide from the school, participation of some students and teachers in implementing the Saturday Cultural program; and (3) Its impacts include academic fields on student learning and non-academic students on discipline, activeness, participation or contribution of students in running the Saturday Cultural program. ABSTRAKProgram Sabtu Budaya adalah kegiatan kokurikuler yang dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk pembelajaran berbasis budaya di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi program Sabtu Budaya sebagai penguatan Civic Culture, faktor pendukung maupun faktor tantangan, dan dampak yang ditimbulkannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan telaah data, dapat diperoleh hasil antara lain (1) bentuk implementasi program Sabtu Budaya sebagai penguatan Civic Culture di SMP Negeri 1 Masbagik berupa Kegiatan Senam Gemar Gatra, Kegiatan Teater atau Drama, Kegiatan Tari Kreasi, dan Kegiatan Kebersihan Kelas dan Lingkungan Sekitar; (2) Faktor pendukung, meliputi kompetensi guru sebagai pelaksanan program Sabtu Budaya, dukungan dan kerjasama guru dan staf, ketersediaan tempat pelaksanaan, dan ketersediaan fasilitas program Sabtu Budaya. Faktor tantangan, meliputi panduan program Sabtu Budaya dari sekolah, partisipasi sebagian siswa dan guru dalam pelaksanaan program Sabtu Budaya; dan (3) Dampaknya meliputi bidang akademik pada pembelajaran peserta didik dan non akademik peserta didik pada kedisiplinan, keaktifan, partisipasi atau kontrobusi peserta didik dalam menjalankan program sabtu budaya.
