The Effect of Project-Based Learnings on Accounting Students' Intentions to Use Technology

Abstract

The development of the internet and technology has accelerated and become massive, including in the area of accounting education. Meanwhile, project-based learning is claimed to be a highly effective in motivating students to learn independently. This research aims to investigate whether there is an influence between the five dimensions of implementing the project-based learning model (problem-solving based activities, working in teams, activities outside the classroom, the role of the facilitator, and student projects) and the intention to use technology among accounting students. This research data was collected through an online questionnaire. A total of 240 questionnaires were analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of the research show that through the perception of usefulness and the perception of ease of use it can have a positive and significant impact on the relationship between the application of project-based learning and the attitude of using accounting computer applications for accounting undergraduate students.
