Abstract

This research aims to develop a helix antenna with compact dimensions while achieving a high gain. The helix antenna is altered by implementing the quadrifilar technique to decrease its dimensions, while a truncated conical ground reflector is employed to enhance its gain. This antenna exhibits a directional emission pattern and is utilised in the LoRa remote communication system. The antenna measurement findings indicate that the antenna is capable of operating at a frequency of 915 MHz, with a gain of 7.52 dBi, a return loss of -16.32 dB, a VSWR of 1.37, and a bandwidth of 32 MHz.
