Sustainable Development Goals Program in Primary Schools in the ASEAN Region: A Bibliometric and Systematic Review 2014-2024

Abstract

Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) is popular topic on many researches that prove how important movement on the growth of nation. This study explored the popular research trend especially relating to the ASEAN elementary school from 2014-2024. The design of this study was bibliometric research method. This method was used to examine the most significant topics and find the quantitiy of the publication trend on SDGs. The result of this study showed that the research increasing significantly was on sustainable education reflecting that the elementary education not only focused on the literacy and numeracy but also achieving sustainability, social equity, and students resulting in the achievement of SDG 4. The analysis on theme found that most researches focused on inclusive education, social welfare, and economic disparities among ASEAN countries. Therefore, this study emphasized on the needs of regional cooperation to distribute the best practice to implant SDGs’ values to the fundamental education curriculum so that fair, inclusive, and sustainable education can be achieved.
