Abstract
The advancement of digital technology encourages the use of financial technology (fintech) among students, especially online loan services such as PayLater, which facilitate financing but pose challenges in financial management. This study aims to understand the experiences of student entrepreneurs in utilizing fintech lending and the role of accounting in business finance. Using a phenomenological approach, this study involved interviews with student entrepreneurs who use SPaylater and SPinjam. The results of the study showed that based on the deepest awareness, informants expressed the value of optimism in facing limited capital by taking bold steps to start a business, the value of sincerity in undergoing the business process with full responsibility, and the value of honesty in recording every financial transaction. Although, financial records are still simple, only covering daily income and expenses. So the importance of financial education in supporting sustainable business management.
