A Bibliometric Analysis of Integrating Al-Quran with the Technology for Assisting Users

Abstract

This study conducts a literature analysis on integrating technology in Al-Quran to understand the current state of research in the field and identify potential areas for future study. Based on 559 articles published between 2013 and 2023 in the Scopus database, the analysis aims to identify emerging research themes and utilise co-occurrence analysis with the use of VOSviewer; the study sheds light on key trends in the technology to assist users in memorising, reciting, understanding meaning and listening to verses in Al-Quran. The findings comprehensively show that various research has been done in integrating Al-Quran with technology such as augmented reality, mobile applications, games and websites. This study provides research gap endeavours by displaying the technology and Al-Quran in six clusters as the outcome of the network visualisation.
