Abstract
Currently, traffic conditions are certainly quite significantly different when compared to traffic conditions when the MKJI 1997 was created, which was almost 28 years old. The rural roads, the characteristics of traffic flow today with flat, hilly and mountain alignment types are certainly different from 28 years ago, which makes the pce value in the 1997 MKJI also different, where this pce is used to convert traffic flow so that the unit which was originally vehicles/hour becomes pcu/hour. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on Jalan H. Mansur, Pusuk which is rural road with a hill alignment type because it has a gradient of 11.34%, with a 2/2 UD road type. The purpose is to find out the pce value using the Time Headway method and then compare it with the pce value of MKJI 1997. The results obtained are differences in the pce value with this method and the pce value listed in MKJI 1997. With the Time Headway method, the pce value for MC is 0.84, MHV 1.30, and pce LT is 1.34. So with the time headway method, the pce for MC is greater than that of MKJI 1997, while for MHV and LT the pce value is smaller than MKJI 1997
