Added Value of Banana Chips in Kelor Farmer Women Group, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the cost structure, profit and business feasibility as well as the added value of banana chips. This research analysis unit is Women Farmers Group (KWT) Kelor, Nyerot Village, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency. This study uses a quantitative research approach. The respondents of the study consisted of group leader and 2 members of KWT. Data collection is done by observation and interview, the data that has been collected tabulated data and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that in one production, the total business cost of Rp. 550,500, including variable costs of Rp. 553,000 and a fixed fee of Rp. 17.500. Production of banana chips in one month amounted to 105 kg with a total cost of Rp. 4,473,000, including variable costs of Rp 4,320,000 (96.6%) and fixed costs of Rp 153,000 (3.4%). Business profits received are Rp.2,457,000/month, with an R/C ratio of 1.55, this means that the banana banana chips business is worthy of further development. Added value of banana chips of Rp. 11,450 with a profit margin of Rp. 7,450/kg (47.15%), this shows the efficiency of banana chips business and high economic potential.
