Abstract
Implementation of various learning facilities such as online reviews, sample media, templates, as well as sample media and paper templates simultaneously have been proven to improve students' writing skills. However, the effect is not maximized because the category has not reached "very good". This is caused by the students' needs not being covered in the learning process. This need is guidance from lecturers when writing scientific papers. The purpose of this study is to analyze writing skills through the implementation of the classical guidance method for students. This pre-experimental study using the one shot case study design was carried out on students in the Unram PGSD Study Program. The sample consisted of 34 students who were determined by purposive sampling. Data on writing skills was taken from data on the quality of research papers written by each student. The instrument used to obtain data on the quality of papers is document papers as a measuring tool for qualitative data. The data obtained was then analyzed to obtain information related to the size of the tendency and distribution. As for comparing the effectiveness of the classical guidance method with the learning facilities used previously, an inferential analysis was carried out using the one sample t test. The findings from the results of this study are that the average writing skill is at a quantitative value of 84.15, where the grade is A (very good). From the analysis of proportions, it was found that the highest percentage (64.7%) was grade A with a very good category, while the lowest proportion was grade D+ (poor category) of 2.9%. There were no students whose paper quality was at grade E (very poor category). Another finding is that the quality of papers through the implementation of the classical guidance method is significantly different from the quality of papers through the implementation of all previous learning facilities. Therefore it can be concluded that writing skills through the implementation of the method are very good.
