Abstract

This research seeks to develop a model of student character education grounded in social activities at State Elementary School 17 Pane, Bima City. Employing a qualitative method with a case study design, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data were processed through three stages: condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the character education model based on social activities in elementary schools operates through five sequential phases: (1) planning, (2) preparation, (3) implementation, (4) reflection on moral values and attitudes, and (5) evaluation along with character strengthening. The application of this model effectively cultivates students’ responsibility, empathy, cooperation, and social awareness through direct engagement in school and community contexts. These findings highlight the significance of embedding social activities within contextual learning as a strategic approach to nurturing character formation among elementary school students.
