Abstract
This research is motivated by the low learning activeness of students in the Pancasila Education subject, caused by a teacher-centered learning process and a lack of connection between teachers and students, which is indicated by students tending to remain silent during lessons. To address this issue, the Numbered Heads Together type of Cooperative Learning model was implemented to enhance students' learning activeness. This research used a classroom action research method. The subjects of this study were the teacher and the students of class VIII-2, with a total of 28 students. Data were collected using observation and questionnaires, with research instruments including a teacher activity observation sheet and a student learning activity observation sheet, designed according to the learning objectives. The research results showed a significant increase in students' learning activity after the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the Numbered Head Together type. This is evidenced by the results of the teacher observation sheet in Cycle I, which showed 14 indicators with a percentage of 64% out of 22 indicators (100%), and increased in Cycle II to 21 indicators with a percentage of 95%. Furthermore, the results of the student learning activity observation sheet showed that in Cycle I, the total score obtained had an average value of 60 and a percentage of 69%, and it increased in Cycle II with the total score obtained from 28 students having an average value of 75 and a percentage of 82%.
