Implementation of Team Games Tournament Using Question Cards to Improve Students Participation and Learning Outcomes of Class XI.B IPS SMA Birrul Walidain NW Rensing Abstract Quality education is crucial for preparing a generation equipped to face global challenges. Among the challenges in contemporary education is the need to enhance student participation and learning outcomes, particularly in sociology, a subject that enables learners to comprehend the social dynamics surrounding them. This research aims to investigate improvements in students’ participation and learning outcomes in sociology through the implementation of the Team Games Tournament model assisted by question cards. Employing classroom action research (CAR) as its methodological framework, the study was conducted over two cycles, each consisting of three meetings structured around several stages including planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods involved observations, tests on student performance, and documentation. The findings indicate that the use of the Team Games Tournament model, supported by question cards, resulted in significant enhancements in both participation and learning achievement among students. In the first cycle, the implementation of the model achieved an effectiveness score of 83%, which increased to 100% in the second cycle. Similarly, student participation rose from 67% in the first cycle to 81% in the second cycle. In addition, the expected learning outcomes in the first cycle were recorded at 71%, escalating to 86% in the second cycle. These results suggest that the integration of the Team Games Tournament methodology with question cards has a positive impact on increasing student participation and academic results in sociology, particularly in the 11th-grade IPS 1 class at SMA Birrul Walidain NW Rensing.
