Abstract

Sektor pertanian di Indonesia berperan strategis dalam perekonomian nasional karena penyerap tenaga kerja terbanyak, penyedia bahan pangan dan sumber devisa negara. Pengembangan pertanian berkelanjutan terutama untuk tanaman pangan pokok padi sangat diperlukan karena kebutuhan semakin meningkat dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk sedangkan ketersediaan sumberdaya lahan terbatas. Tantangan terbesarnya adalah mempertahankan keberlanjutan untuk mewujudkan kedaulatan pangan pokok padi dan kesejahteraan petani. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis aksiologi dari fenomena pertanian berkelanjutan untuk tanaman pangan pokok (padi) di sentra produksi beras terbesar di Propinsi NTB, yakni di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan pengumpulan data dengan studi literatur, dengan fokus data sekunder dan publikasi hasil penelitian di sentra produksi beras Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Hasil kajian aksiologi dari pembangunan pertanian berkelanjutan untuk tanaman pangan di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah adalah: sebagai sumber matapencaharian utama keluarga petani, menciptakan lapangan kerja, menjamin pengadaan pangan pokok keluarga petani, penyedia pangan daerah, penyumbang PDB terbesar ke tiga. Nilai kemanfaatan dapat ditingkatkan berkelanjutannya melalui pengembangan pertanian terpadu, diversifikasi pertanian dalam arti luas/pertanian campuran, penguatan modal sosial, peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani. Axiology of Sustainable Agricultural Phenomenon for Rice Staple Food Crop in Central Lombok District Abstract The agricultural sector in Indonesia plays a strategic role in the national economy because it absorbs the largest workforce, provides food and is a source of foreign exchange. The development of sustainable agriculture, especially for staple food crops, rice, is very necessary because the need is increasing with the increasing population while the availability of land resources is limited. The biggest challenge is maintaining sustainability to realize staple food sovereignty of rice and farmer welfare. This article aims to analyze the axiology of the phenomenon of sustainable agriculture for staple food crops (rice) in the largest rice production center in NTB Province, namely in Central Lombok Regency. This research is a descriptive study and data collection with literature studies, focusing on secondary data and publication of research results in the rice production center of Central Lombok Regency. The results of the axiological study of sustainable agricultural development for food crops in Central Lombok Regency are: as the main source of livelihood for farming families, creating jobs, ensuring the provision of staple food for farming families, providing regional food, the third largest contributor to GDP. The value of benefits can be increased sustainably through the development of integrated agriculture, diversification of agriculture in a broad sense/mixed farming, strengthening social capital, increasing farmer knowledge and skills.
