Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship between traditional Sasak physical activities and students' active participation in Physical Education (PJOK) learning in elementary schools. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method, involving 40 students of SDN 2 Bagik Payung Selatan who were selected through a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire that included indicators of traditional physical activities and students' active participation. The results of the analysis showed an average of 71% of traditional physical activities with the highest indicator being traditional games (74%), while students' active participation in PJOK learning averaged 72% with the highest indicator being compliance and discipline (75%). The normality test produced a significance value of 0.993 indicating normally distributed data, a linearity test of 0.003 indicating a linear relationship, and a Pearson correlation test yielded r = 0.463 with p = 0.003 indicating a significant positive relationship between the two variables. These findings confirm that traditional Sasak physical activities contribute significantly to increasing students' active participation, both in physical, social, and emotional aspects, and serve as an important basis for the development of contextual and sustainable local culture-based PJOK learning.
