Abstract
The development of digital technology has led to a decline in community engagement with traditional arts, including in Kayangan Subdistrict, North Lombok Regency. Limited spaces for cultural appreciation and low engagement among the younger generation pose challenges to the preservation of local culture. This community service initiative aims to increase community participation in local culture and support the development of a culture-based creative economy through the Gawe Beleq Festival. The implementation method employs a participatory and collaborative approach involving local government, cultural practitioners, the community, and local SMEs. The festival showcases various traditional Sasak arts as well as community SME booths. The results of the activity indicate an increase in community appreciation for local culture, youth involvement in cultural activities, and community economic activity through SME participation. The Gawe Beleq Festival serves as a medium for cultural preservation capable of strengthening social and economic ties within the community based on local culture.
